OMNITEK FOCUSES ON EXPANSION OPPORTUNITIES IN PAKISTAN

-- Expects Strong Demand for its Diesel-to-Natural Gas Conversion Technology--

SAN MARCOS, CA — October 6, 2010 — Omnitek Engineering Corporation (OTCQB: OMTK) today  announced it has signed an agreement with Karachi-based Xperts Technologies LLC to market and install the company’s diesel-to-natural gas conversion technology for truck and bus applications throughout Pakistan.

“Converting high-polluting diesel powered engines to run on natural gas is an effective and economical solution to operate trucks and buses -- significantly less expensive than purchasing new natural gas engines,” said Werner Funk, president and chief executive officer of Omnitek Engineering Corporation.

Funk noted that Pakistan has an estimated 3,300 compressed natural gas (CNG) stations operating throughout the country to serve a significant number of passenger CNG vehicles, but virtually all heavy-duty trucks or buses operate on diesel fuel. “Our partnership with Xperts Technologies represents a unique opportunity to showcase Omnitek’s conversion technology and establish a leadership position in a country with a potential market size of at least 600,000 to 800,000 heavy-duty diesel trucks and buses that could conceivably be converted to operate on CNG,” he said.
